I didn't like Rugby League 2. Will I like Rugby League 2 World Cup Edition?

Rugby League 2 World Cup Edition is primarily only a content update to Rugby League 2. It is not a full sequel and does not include any significant changes to gameplay or features beyond updated content.

If you did not like Rugby League 2 then in all likelihood you will not like this version, and you should consider purchase carefully.


What is the key new content of Rugby League 2 World Cup Edition?

New content of “Rugby League 2 World Cup Edition” includes

• All New World Cup Mode
• Squad and Jersey updates for the 2008 NRL, Super League and World Cup International Teams
• Addition of new NRL franchise the Gold Coast Titans including player likenesses
• Stadia updates and five new stadia including Skilled Park (Gold Coast), Browne Park (Rockhampton, QLD), New Craven Park (UK), Twickenham Stoop (UK) and Stade Gilbert Brutus (France)
• New in-game cut scenes

Rugby League 2 World Cup Edition is currently scheduled for release on 6 November 2008.

Rugby League 2 World Cup Edition will be available primarily in Australia, New Zealand and the UK. Limited quantities of the game are also available in other PAL territories.

Do fights appear in Rugby League 2 World Cup Edition?

No. Fighting in NRL matches is not condoned by the NRL, and it is their wish that fighting does not appear in Rugby League 2 World Cup Edition. This stance is supported by Home Entertainment Suppliers and Sidhe Interactive.

What is the difference between Competition Mode, World Cup Mode, and Franchise Mode?

Competition Mode allows gamers to take their selected team or teams through a single year of a given competition. Available competitions in Competition Mode include SuperLeague, NRL, State of Origin, City vs Country, and more.

World Cup Mode is a new stand alone Competition in Rugby League 2 World Cup Edition that allows players to compete for World Cup supremacy with any of the 10 competing international teams including the world champion Australian Kangaroos, England and the New Zealand Kiwis.

Franchise Mode allows gamers to take control of one team through multiple years of a given competition, and offers more advanced management functionality. Only the SuperLeague and NRL competitions are available for Franchise Mode.


Is the World Cup available during the Franchise Mode?

Yes, the Franchise Mode includes the ability to participate in the World Cup competition.


Does the Haka feature in Rugby League 2 World Cup Edition?

No.
