Hi all...

I havent posted here for a long while (my previous job just did not allow you to log in to any forums whilst bludging on the interweb)

Im not going to go into detail about the negatives really as we all know what they are and well as for the positives I think the one thing that strikes me is that you actually have to play intellegent footy.

Last night i demolished the Sea Eagles on Medium 24-0 with the Dragons it was a demolision because I actually played smart, mistake free footy and grinded the eagles out of the game... it was brilliant I felt in control driving the kicks down into the corner and keeping them there. This is what keeps me coming back to this game.

The one major critisism i have is in its lack of polish.

You know who my favorite player in the game is? Fatuli Talinoa, know why? he has a tattoo!!! yes I havent seen anybody else mention it yet but part of his facial texture in the game includes his neck tattoo. Little touches like Tattos and even player strappings would do a lot to improve the overall presentation of the game.

Along with some television broadcast style presentation it would really go along way, I actually like the player model used for the players, makes them seem thick and muscular and the player likeness has come along way, so just some little touches would really set it off.

On a gameplay front my brother and I well we are avid life long gamers like everyone on this forum and we have had a crack at writting a script for videogames and spoken to a few people high up at certain publishers and developers about ideas in the past and well we have always always held late night discussions regarding ways to implement strategy into the league game.

One of the ideas we had was what we titled "Zone/Quadrant gameplay" or "Red Zone Gameplay" meaning there are a few play styles in which you can organise your team into depending on what part of the field you have possesion.

Say for example you wouldnt set you team deep when coming off your own try line, rather you would have them somewhat compressed and have fowards charging it in a very one dimensional way. Also dummy half running would play a large role here.

Once you get out of your Red Zone you can switch to either a flat or depth based backline set up, this also involves the AI on your team running specific lines and angles (ala Madden).

These are just a few ideas I can remember at this time and I will add more and would like everyone else to add more also.

Thank you and Go you mighty Dragons!!!
=P

It was an online match between the Dragons(played by me) and the Warriors.

It all went horrible from the start as Soward kicked the ball out on the full. The Warriors then had a good touch finder and scored quickly after that. 6-0

I kicked off again and somehow I allowed Ben Matulino to palm through my defence and palm Boyd to score under the posts. 12-0

I kicked off for the third time in about 3 minutes and I just as I thought I was going to touch the ball for the first time Boyd got dragged back over the tryline and it was a drop out. Needless to say they scored quickly after. 18-0

Ok so I was down by 3 converted tries and I was yet to touch the ball. After 3 people quitting on me in previous matches thoughts of exiting crossed my mind but I though the urges.

Soward put on some magic and some chip and chases came off beautifully. I scored a try before halftime and went into the break 18-6.

After half time I dominated early in the half and was able to cross the line again. The match was pretty even after that but thanks to another Soward chip I was able to pull off a late try to tie the match.

So after being 18-0 down I was heading to extra time.

Nothing happened in the first half of OT then in the second as I was working the ball out of my half my oppenent dropped an interception and the tackle count was restarted.

Next play Fien made a break out of dummy half and gave it off to Creagh who looked like he was going over but was tackeled just before the line. I quicly gave it off to Soward who slotted the drop goal for the win.

This is by far my best victory.
